Worship at Bethlehem

Every week we gather for worship as a wide community — indoors, outdoors, and livestream. However you choose to worship with us, all are welcome. We pride ourselves in faithful preaching, wonderful music, and a joyful, comfortable environment that is welcoming to all. We celebrate Holy Communion every week and gather to lift one another up in every joy and sorrow. Bethlehem has a rich and diverse music ministry and through music, both children and adults, have the opportunity to lead in worship and share their gifts. Whoever you are, and wherever you come from, there is a place for you here at Bethlehem. Come as you are.

We’d Love to Welcome You

We have all visited a church for the first time, either with a friend, family member, or just on our own – it can be a bit daunting. It is our hope that you will feel a warm welcome here at Bethlehem. Let us know if this is your first visit so that we can share with you helpful things to know – like information about Sunday school for the kids, what the latest Covid protocols might be, how communion works here, or what happens after church.

Upon your arrival, feel free to park in any of the parking lots, and then make your way to the sanctuary for indoor worship. It’s the largest building on the campus and it’s also where the church offices are located. Click here for a map of the campus. For outdoor worship meet us on the grass and bring your lawn chair. If you are joining us virtually, you can download the bulletin and sing along. The worship services vary in musical style week to week, but all services on any Sunday are the same.

Sunday services are at 9 AM indoors/outdoors, and 10:30 AM indoors/outdoors/livestream with Holy Communion available at every service to all worshipers. We believe that Holy Communion is the gift of God’s grace and is therefore open to all. Our worship services are liturgical and include a wide variety of musical styles, from traditional hymnody to more contemporary composers and songs.

Dress is casual. There are visitor cards available that you can fill out with your information, and we will make sure you get added to our newsletter mailing list. If you do decide to fill one out, please hand it either to the host or to one of the pastors. If you’d like to speak with a pastor, please indicate that as well. We invite you to look through the website to learn more about our ministries and how we serve the wider community. Hearing assisted devices are available in the sanctuary for any who need them.

Sunday School “Learning Circles” starts after the children’s message during the 10:30 AM worship service. Children will be escorted to outdoor classrooms, and will return before the close of the service.

IIf you have any questions, feel free to call or email the church office. Pastor Laura or Pastor Sam will be happy to talk with you. Click here if you would like to learn more about the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

It is our privilege to have you visit and we hope that you will find this a good place for your journey of faith. God’s blessings!
