in the church office. Home visits and consultation are available by arrangement. The goal of Bethlehem's Health Ministry is
to reach out and care for those in need and to promote health and wholeness, integrating body, mind and spirit. The Parish
Nurse may help you in these ways: - Home visits, hospital and nursing home
visits to check on recovery
- Phone and office health consultations
- Assistance with medical appointments, medications, and transportation
- Information, referrals and resources for staying healthy
- Community
classes
- Bringing people with needs together for support
Watch for these Health Events throughout
the year: - Blood Pressure and Stroke Prevention Screening is the first Sunday of each month in the church office
between services. Check the calendar.

Bank Drive
- CPR and First Aid classes
- Flu Shot campaign
News and Notes: - San Deigo Blood Bank will be coming to BLC on Sunday, September 12, 2010.
- There is hand sanitizer in each pew for your use.
- If you know of anyone in need of care or a meal contact Rose or Pastor Laura.
- We will occasionally have special programs on healthy living and prevention of illness. Examples
of topics: good nutrition, mental health, women's health, marriage enrichment, healthy aging, caretaking, and end-of-life
issues.
- We have formed a group of church memebers who will cook
and deliver meals for parishioners and families who are recovering or in need. If you know of someone in need of a meal or
you wish to volunteer to make a meal or can provie transportation assistance to and from church contact Rose.
- In these times of financial uncertainty we have a fund, the Bethlehem Cares Fund,
to help those in need of groceries, medical bills, etc. Contact Rose or Pastor Laura.
- Yoga classes meet on Tuesday nights, 7PM to 8:15PM in the church Sanctuary.
All levels are welcome.
