INTERFAITH SHELTER BEGINS February 26th: BLC
will host homeless families trying to get back on their feet in the Multi Use Room from Sunday, February 26th until
Sunday, March 11th. We need Overnight Hosts, Drivers, Meal Providers, and Set Up and Take Down Helpers.
We also need donations of bath towels and washcloths, paper goods, coffee, DVD movies, toys, drawing supplies and money.
This is a great way for the entire family to make a difference in our own community! "Second Sabbath" - Saturday evening contemporary service.
Please join us for this Saturday evening service! With a relaxed setting, the service gives
young families, teens, adults, and people of all ages who love contemporary music a special
chance to gather in worship. Meeting the 2nd Saturday in January, March, May, July, September, and November, hence, "Second
Sabbath," there will be lots of music, a word to carry you through your week, and communion
to feed your faith. Come check it out.
Bethlehem Community Library open
Tuesday and Thursday
Our
community library will be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30PM until 5PM. Scraps and Prayers. Please join us each Wednesday morning at 8:30 am in the Multi-Use Building. The Bethlehem
Women of the ELCA need your help cutting, sewing and tying quilts. Please come visit on
a Wednesday morning. If you know someone deserving or in need of a "prayer" quilt,
please leave a note in the office or talk with one of the members of the Scraps and Prayers
group. You can always check the Giving Tree here for the latest monthly service opportunity

Needed: The Encinitas Community Resource Center has a continuing need for donations of food, volunteers, and other items. Click here to view the list of needed donations. Food Needed: St. Andrew’s
Food Pantry is experiencing an increase in the number of local families and seniors needing
weekly food. Please donate canned and packaged food items (especially peanut butter, beans,
tuna, fruits and vegetables) under the giving tree. Thank you for your support.”
Bethlehem Meals With Love makes and delivers meals to those
needing care or comfort. If you know of someone who could use this call the church
or contact Rose Moldenhauer. Items needed year round:
Jeans – in any condition, wearable or not, and wine corks. They will be used
for a variety of projects for BWELCA and Learning Circles. Leave under the Giving
Tree.
