Our goal is to minister to children and families in the Encinitas, Carlsbad, Leucadia, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Solana Beach, Lomas Santa Fe, Olivenhain and Rancho Santa Fe area. You are not required to be or become a Church member.   In an age-appropriate way, our teachers show by example Christ's way of loving acceptance and forgiveness. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum provides opportunity to show non-judgemental, unconditional Christian love to each child.   Our pastors and youth director share stories with the children, lead seasonal visits to our sanctuary and cooperate in the observances of Christian holidays as well as holidays of other faiths.   Families are welcome to share in our Church activities and projects of outreach to the needy in our area through food drives, disaster relief and seasonal gifts to needy families.   Our ECC shares an open spirituality rooted in the Christian faith for all people regardless of their own faith tradition. We welcome you to become a part of our Bethlehem family.   Our Preschool offers a balanced program with opportunity for your child to grow as an individual in all areas of development. The first steps away from home are made comfortable, with caring adults who are trained to meet your child's individual needs - in a safe, healthful environment.   We feel children learn best in a low-key, non-pressured environment. Our teachers provide activities that allow for optimum development of a child's IMAGINATION, INITIATIVE AND AUTONOMY. We feel these areas of development need to be utilized to the maximum during the years from three to six. Accreditation - N.A.E.Y.C.   BECC Preschool has been accredited since 1991 and is proud to be one of the first programs in the Nation to earn re-accreditation from the National Association from the Education of Young Children’s new, more rigorous accreditation process. BECC Preschool has earned accreditation by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (a division of NAEYC) for demonstrating substantial compliance with nationally recognized criteria for high quality early childhood programs.
