The following 12 volunteers spent Saturday June 13^th working for Habitat For Humanity. Twenty new homes are being built in Libby Lake Village in Oceanside with 5 homes already completed and the second 5 in progress. We worked on one of the several homes sponsored by Thrivent Lutheran. Starting at 8:30 with a safety indoctrination conducted by Greg Tiller, the site supervisor and a brief prayer led by a volunteer, we all turned to the task of building and landscaping. Teams worked on paneling outer walls and moving top soil to various sites. Lunch was of the brownbag variety and by mid afternoon, a lot had been accomplished toward finishing the first floor walls. We only hope that it passes the Oceanside building inspector who was due early the following week.
