Pajama Project 2009 Final Letter Your 2009 Christmas Pajama sewing project contact is Sherie Whiting. 760 436-6874 Fund raising can be a thankless task, but not is this case. These PJs make a HUGE difference in the lives of many children throughout the year. It is supported and benefited by local charities and the military, and every year the demand increases, because these gifts of Love are so effective to those who receive them. Please print the Fund Card below and pass it around to those you think might enjoy being a part of such a fun and caring charity effort. If you would like to see your contribution at work, check the scedhule of Saturday work-days throughout the year and come visit with us, cut flannel, fold flannel and have lunch. October 2009 Project update. Please check the giving treethis month. We are Sewing and filling Agency Wishlists this Saturday October 17th . October 31st will be our last workday. Both will be in the Family Center, as usual, from 10A to 4P with lunches provided.We are finished cutting. The meetings in October will be for SEWING, IRONING and FILLING ORDERS for our agencies. Our LAST cutting day was this past Saturday (Remember NO WORK DAY THIS SAT!!) and the GRAND TOTAL for kits cut is 1167!! We have 889 completed kits in our possession and I have about 160 kits in my possession ready to be signed out. Sewers...Let me assure you that there is a home for EVERY pair of PJs!! Most agencies are requesting an increase of up to 30% due to increased need. Please return your PJs (EVEN IF you've not had time to sew them) by or on October 17th (our next work day). Bring your sewing machines/sergers for TEAM SEWING of our unfinished kit at either or both of our last work days Oct. 17th and Oct 31st. Cutters!!! What a fantastic job you all did. There's still work to be done. Come the last two work days to help divide and distribute the completed PJs. You'll receive a Santa's List for an Agency and then will be asked to hand-pick pajamas for them. Need kits or have questions?? Call Sherie at 760-436-6874. September 5th Fundraising is underway for the Pajama Project 2010! We are anticipating an increase in the cost of flannel again this year and appreciate any support you can provide. Sample flannel cards are available to distribute to friends who may be interested in supporting this non-denominational project. September!!! We have ONE more cutting date in September which has been MOVED UP to September
19th (replacing the day originally planned for Sept. 26th). In October, we will be doing some speed-sewing to finish as many of the remaining kits as possible and we will begin the distribution process by filling agency requests. Our October work days have ALSO CHANGED...We will meet on October 17th and October 31st. We plan to invite representatives from each agency to our work days to pick up their donations. So...Sewers! Please return your completed kits by October 17th, if at all possible.

10A to 4P. Lunch will be provided! April 26, 2009 We have outdone ourselves AGAIN!! Thanks to 30 hard-working volunteers, we cut and assembled 171 kits for a GRAND TOTAL of 457 kits so far this year!!! (Can you believe we used to be amazed at 50 kits in a single work day?)
March 30, 2009 If you are able to wash flannel for the Project, call me and come by to pick up as much or as little as you'd like! The cutters are on FIRE and went through virtually all we had.
